Presque Isle Community Garden

The Presque Isle Community Garden located near 3 Birch Street is always in need of assistance. These are raised beds and are available for all community members to grow their own food. There is also a perennial flower bed surrounding the fence that is always in need of weeding.

​Attire/type of work: Garden work, requires gloves, boots, and at this point probably bug spray

​Tools needed/provided: Shovels, hoes and small garden tools available​

Organic Garden

Location: In the field by 37 Birch Street

Date:  Monday, May 15 (but can be flexible)

Time: this can be open to any groups at their convenience

# of Volunteers: 5

Bike Path Cleanup and Refresh

State Street to Allen Street

This two-hour community service project includes picking up litter, raking, tree trimming,
mulching, garden bed weeding, and painting along the Presque Isle Bike Path between State Street and Allen Street.

 

Attire: Work cloths, gloves, boots and bug sprayï‚· Tools needed/provided: Paint and brushes provided, bring rakes and garden tools

Dignity Drive

Thank you for the opportunity to help in our public housing community. The average gross household income of our tenant families is $24,000 per year. The average for older adults or adults with disabilities is almost $15,000 annually.
There are children in more than 80 households and there are 40 individuals 70 plus years old. In total, 421 low-income people live in our public housing properties.
Any of the following full-size items would be very helpful to assist our most in need families:

Personal Hygiene• Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Floss (adult and child)• Mouthwash• Deodorant (for men and women)• Bar Soap and Body Wash• Shampoo• Shaving Cream, Disposable Razors• Band-Aids• Sunscreen• Feminine Hygiene: Pads and Tampons

Location:  Drop off items at Star City IGA in Presque Isle or  PI Housing Authority's main office during regular office hours Monday-Friday.

Mapleton Pool Clean Up

We will be helping clean out The Mapleton Pool to get it ready for the summer!

Help us put together a Swing Set for Hope & Justice Across the street from Framework Church

Clean Up the Roads

We will be going to some roads to help clean up after the snow melt. 

Bring gear to get dirty in and make sure to have gloves. There will be a time and area set aside with Framework, but if you want to do this with your friends, family or small group in your area just let us know! 

 

Plastic Gloves and Trash bags will be provided 
 

Picking Up Litter

Location: For PI road clean up we will meet at Framework parking lot and go out from there

Pregnancy Care Center

We need help doing some work at the Pregnancy Center Center
